ON THE STRUCTURE OF THE HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM IN CONNECTION WITH THE REORGANIZATION OF THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN
Annotation. The article discusses the issues of changing the structure of higher education in connection with
the division of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MES RK) into two departments: The Ministry
of Education (Min of Education) and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiVO).
Functions and powers in the field of higher and postgraduate education, science and language policy were transferred to the latter.
Almaty University of Energy and Communications named after Gumarbek Daukeev (OWENS) offers a variant
of the structure of higher education, taking into account the university's proposals to improve the system
education, since 1991. Special attention in the article is paid to the terms that are used in
the proposed structure.
