PROBLEMS OF THE COMPETENCE APPROACH IN THE TRAINING AND ADVANCED TRAINING OF PERSONNEL

The introduction of a competence-based approach into the system of training and advanced training of specialists is aimed at
improving interaction with the labor market, increasing the competitiveness of specialists, updating the content,
methodology and appropriate learning environment. The main goal is to train a qualified specialist
of the appropriate level and profile, fluent in his profession and oriented in related fields
of activity, ready for continuous professional growth, social and professional mobility. But
the system of training and advanced training faces a number of tasks that require immediate solutions.
The competence approach is considered as a modern correlate of many more traditional approaches. This is an attempt
to bring into line the system of training and advanced training and the needs of the labor market, an approach
that focuses on the result of education, and the result is not the amount of information learned, but
the ability of a person to act in various situations.
Keywords: competence, competence approach, education, professional development, training
